Hey guys!

I just received an MBA as a gift. However, I haven't opened the box because I will be making an exchange for the MBA Rev. B.

Anyways, I've noticed that the MBA's WiFi has 802.11n. My Verizon DSL router that has wireless connectivity built in supports only 802.11b and 802.11g connections.

My question is, with the MBA connect to my router, or do I need to buy a different router?

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

Ok wow! Thanks from your input guys! I really appreciate it!

Ya, just to clarify, just about all popular wireless routers/cards are backwards compatible. Meaning that something labeled "n" will work with b/g/sometimes a as well. The fastest version it supports is generally listed, i.e. the MBA's 802.11n, it can also do g, b, etc. This is all listed in the specs on Apple's website. Bear in mind also that 802.11n is still "draft N"; it is not a finalized spec. Theoretically, a firmware update will bring most modern draft-n devices into full n compliance when it is finalized (expected to be in late '09...)

Read more about it all if you're curious: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/802.11
