Got my son an iPhone se 2020 for Xmas which came today.
Why did I just assume that it would only be the new iPhones that come in the new slim box with no plug?

All the se from launch came with one in the normal size box with the accessories

The culling of accessories on older models still being sold was mentioned in the online presentation and in marketing materials. Yeah it sucks for everyone but you know who.

Yeah, it seems like even the previously existing devices are now being sold differently with less than what they always included (although still from the same price it seems, at least for the SE).
