Attention all Collectors of Old Macs! With the creation of Macrumors Guides a new area has been opened to us to share our knowledge. Please post articles on old Macs! We are sorely lacking info on many old and famous Macs!

What sort of thing are you looking for? If you want specifications, basic notes, intro dates, max OS and even start up sounds on every Mac then really there is no beating Mac Tracker http://www.mactracker.ca/ the latest version even has smart folders. To cut and paste this stuff out of what is an excellent stand alone tool in to this site seems a little bit point less, also its been done with Apple-History and Every Mac. What about some How-to’s? I have been trying to get my emate to work with a wireless card for the longest time without successes. A step by step with links to the right downloads would be no end of help.

Ok.

I own a Power Mac 6100, IIci, and PB 160/170/180c, so maybe I'll do those too.

I never used that MediaWiki software before. Neat stuff - I can see why Wikipedia is so great.

Wikipedia is awesome stuff. Right now I am working on the Xserve page, from there I will probably work on the 1.67ghz 15in PB. Hrm so may pages to do! I should probably dive into some older stuff as well tonight. I love writing about machines I have used (except for the Xserve)

Thanks for the compliments on the iMac article, I have spent a lot of time fixing that problem and its been ingrained in my mind!
