Most of my iTunes music is in AAC format. What programs do people use to edit the AAC's. Most programs see MP3's and AIFF's but not AAC's (MP4)

Do I need to convert the AAC's?

FCP 4, After Effects 6 don't see 'em. All I want to do is fade the songs out so I can make a mix.

thanks in advance!

Just convert the one you want into MP3 or AIFF, that makes life alot easier. iPhoto and iMovie can use mp4, but other than that, most apps require MP3, AIFF or WAV.

For Sound Studio, you do not need to convert from ACC to another format (other than straight to AIFF). Import the file with Quicktime from the Sound Studio File menu.
