Hi all.

How do I access all my files on a Mavericks partition from 10.6.8.
the Files I need to backup.. recover have locks on them and says:

"The folder "Documents" cannot be opened because you don't have permission to see its contents."

Is there anywhere I can enter the Password and then gain access.
The Partition is acting wonky and I want to recover the files, before trying to boot to it again.

thanks
Ian

Ok found it.

In Sharing and Permissions.

1. Folder select <get info> Click Lock icon to unlock
2. type in Maverkics Admin: password.
3. (+) to Add 10.6.8 Snow Leopard Admin to Sharing and Permissions.

Hope this helps Dumb people like me. Haha!!
