Adapters for M2 Air

Hello, I’ve just ordered a M2 15in Air refurb for delivery tomorrow and just realised I need to order adapters to use any of my old usb hard drives.

Are any of the cheap USB C to USB adapters fine that I can see on Amazon? Or do I really need Apple branded ones? Should I be looking for a certain transfer speed etc? Considering a hub so I could occasionally hook up a screen with hdmi and for SD cards.

Hoping to order something quickly for next day delivery so appreciate any advice! Thank you

You do not need a branded one - Although I have an Apple branded one, Ive also been using cheap compatibles for years.

Anker brand is fairly cheap and makes very good quality anywhere from 5- to 14-in-1 USB-C adapters. I have one I use daily, and have another in the bag for travelling. Work great.

I use these: Syntech USB C to USB Adapter Pack of 2 USB C Male to USB3 Female Adapter. Just be aware that these are slightly too wide to have 2 side-by-side for the MacBook Air USB-C ports. There are similar ones that are slimmer that are designed for Apple MacBooks.
