After yesterday's announcements I am looking to buy the new 14" MacBook Pro. I want to use this as my new main workstation. I already have a Dell UltraSharp 27" 4K USB-C Monitor - the U2720Q - here - which I'd like to connect to. I was also thinking about a docking station - the CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 one here, as that's what the new MacBook Pro supports. As well it comes with some USB-A slots which I could do with.

Essentially I'm looking to get the max speeds and max resolutions out of this workstation and wondering what type of set up/cables I'd need to do so?

One cable from the Dell monitor into the docking station and then from the docking station into the laptop? Do any of them need to be charging cables? I get so confused with these types of cables and standards, I can't keep up.

Any help on set up and cables for each step of the chain would be great.

Thanks
