After recently getting a M1 Max, I was forced to switch from SMB to AFP due to the notorious Watchdog WindowServer kernel panic issue. AFP seems to be performing fine. Using 10GbE over Thunderbolt to a QNAP NAS, I get over 1GB/s write, and 630MB/s read. After the M1 Max sleeps and wakes up again, speeds are reduced to 35-50MB/s. The Network Hardware tab still reports a connection at 10Gbase-T. If I eject the volume and remount it immediately, I am back up to original speeds.

Anyone else out there running into this issue?
