After installing the developer preview, will the updates in regards to the beta occur just as they do on Mavericks, through the mac store, or will they have to be in reinstalled each individually after me finding them, or swift like the OTA updates of iOS8.

If you have DP copy linked with your Apple ID (as part of Developer program) the updates should appear as normal.

Otherwise, you will have to wait and see I guess. And wether you are registered for public beta or not should play a role here as well.

I think last time they all came through Software Update.

They have come through software update since at least ML, if not Lion itself. If you sign up for the public beta instead of through hte developer program, you will be on a different update cycle from developers once that beta opens up.
