Can anyone recommend me any cases for the air, similar to the apple smart case, but is less bulky and lighter whilst giving it the same all round protection?

The official one is pretty minimal. iPad Air + Case weights less than the iPad 4...

I have the Apple case. IMO the heaviest part is the lid. However, I've tried several third party cases that are back only, and they are all bulkier than the Apple case, and most of them weigh as much. If you want a case with a old, then there is none that is lighter than the Apple case. None.

The Apple case is very thin and light but if you want another choice there is the Jison case. Look up item JS-ID5-01A. It weighs 8.9 ounces. Hope this helps.

That looks like the one my Mom has. It's not lighter or thinner than the Apple case.

Apple Smart case IHMO is the lightest than all other case. Of course you can feel bit heavy just because the magnetic on the smart cover. :apple:
