iPad Airdrop on iPad wont work when connected to Bluetooth Keyboard

Hey all,

So I have a bluetooth case cum keyboard. I love using it and has made my life much easier with that.

However, I have noticed that whenever i want to do airdrop or handoff, it wont work unless i switch off my bluetooth keyboard as iPad would automatically connect to it if its on.

Should not iPad switch dynamically between them or shoudl both not work together?

I think that's because it's not a Bluetooth v4.0 keyboard so the mode has changed to something like v2.1. My understanding is that all paired devices need to be 4.0 (I don't think it works like multimode wifi).
