All Devices AirPods Max on iOS 13.5

I am using an iPhone 11 Pro running iOS 13.5 and I would like to purchase the AirPods Max, but I am not sure they will run with this old iOS.
Updating the iPhone is a no-go, since I want to keep it on its original iOS (I am a collector bla bla bla)

Anyone any experience?

I am also trying to understand if I can downgrade the iPhone in a later stage considering that I have saved all the shsh blobs from 13.5 - 14.3

you need iOS 14.3 for AirPods max too work they will not work with iOS 13.5
