AirPods Pros Won't Skip Forward

Wherever I’m needed.
Anyone have a problem with AirPod Pros not skipping forward to the next song? Pressing the 'button' twice to skip forward to another song on my 12 Pro Max works sometimes. More often than not it doesn't. Same with skipping backwards. I've tried resetting, but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? Tia.
