AirPods v AirPods Pro for voice/video calls?

Is there any noticeable difference in clarity or microphone quality between these two anyone know?

Reviews don't really seem to touch on it so guessing there's not much of an upgrade here.

I have the AirPods (original ones) and searching for a bit of an upgrade at the moment. Was going to go over ear but decided just not to stay in ear after a lot of research.

Ha! old thread. but... not sure if you went for the upgrade. AirPods Pro (some apparently) have serious mic issues, whereas the original don't. It has something to do with noise cancellation modules, where it somehow surprises the mics when there are sounds nearby. For some it has been solved for some not (like me).
