Hi All,

Is anyone here in the UK and using their AirPort Extreme(s) with BT Fibre (FTTP)?

We've just had BT Fibre installed as we have come from Virgin and I am trying to switch the Extremes over from the Virgin modem to the Openreach modem but it just says "No Internet Connection" when switching over.

Currently the AE is connected to the Virgin Modem/Router (the router WiFi is switched off) and the AE does all the WiFi.

I presumed I'd just have to switch the WAN from the Openreach modem to the back of the WAN connection on the AE and it would just work. But seemingly it doesn't.

Do I need to add any credentials to the AE interface? If so, where?

Thanks!

Craig

Airport extremes require a modem to plug into the Internet Connection.

when on FTTC then used a Vigor 130 modem with Airport Extreme and just set the WAN port to PPPoE and then enter my ISP details for username and password.

Openreqch Fibre Modem will do same function as the Vigor 130 and need to put your AE WAN port to PPPoE and enter your BT Credentials.

the Wan port defaults to DHCP so won’t connect to BT Internet.
