Ok, i'm still having trouble with the speed of my airport extreme in my new iMac (download at max 200kb/s whereas before it was 500kb/s on pc).
And I am starting to think it may need a firmware update.
I went on the apple site and downloaded the latest firmware update for airport extreme, but when I try to update it doesn't find the device, but its asking for an airbase and not airport extreme.
I am so unbelievably confused.

Heres some ping results to my router:
Code:

64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=14 ttl=64 time=1.528 ms

Also when I disconnect and reconnect for a short period I get full speed (about 5 mins) it then dips down to how low it was previously.
