Hi,

My 12 inch G4 power book, which I bought 3 years ago did not have an airport card so I bought one two days ago. However, the software program that came with it does not install on the computer because I
have OS X v 10.2.8 and the software will only install on OS X v 10.3. I
downloaded the older version of that software but that still does not work.
Also,I went to system preferences, and tried to find the airport in the network
but I could not find it.

Do I have to buy the new OS X or is there a way to make this work without doing that?

Thanks!

The company line is that you need 10.2.3. Is the card recognized by OS X, i.e - does it show up in System Profiler and System Preferences?

What versions do you have of the AirPort utilities?
