Nvidia RTX4000 is incredible but it's hobbled by lack of DisplayPort 2.1 for >30Hz 8K and no PCIe 5.0 bus making it more of a monster for GPU compute rather monster gaming GPU. Also, doesn't help that it's having teething issues with magic smoke power delivery.
Will AMD correct these deficiencies with RX7000 while making it more power efficient and price competitive?
More importantly, how close will it get to dethroning the performance of Nvidia RTX4000 in gaming and GPU compute?
My guess is <=$1200 for flagship, yes to DP 2.1 and PCIe 5.0, gaming performance will be close but software stack for GPU compute/Blender/machine learning/etc. still not competitive.
