Apparently theres some controversy concerning a proposal giving iPods to all Michigan students.

Some state lawmakers were flown to Cali at least partially by Apple, and they coincidentally support legislation to give iPods all students in the state.

yay lucky me   :) :p.....no but seriously I'd be so mad if this goes through. Our state has a huge deficit, horrible job creation rate, increase in pay is not keeping up with inflation, etc. We are in serious trouble, our state can better use its money than doing asinine ideas like this, unless apple wants to *give* an ipod to every student then that'd be cool, otherwise its asinine!

Heh, well apparently the Free Press should check its stuff out before it publishes. Either way, it does indeed seem like a waste of money.

For what use could they have anyway? A teacher podcasting stuff to them? Sounds too complicated for mass adoption by teachers.
