I’ve learnt my lesson not to install betas anymore. iOS one put me off last year
Betas are fun, Alphas I run from unless I am getting paid.

BUT Beta has to be used on a NON primary device unless you want to deal with odd glitches and headaches when you least expect or want them.

So if you have an older phone that can support it or a newer phone that is used as a back up device then Betas can be fun and the later released Betas can be especially fun and surprisingly stable.

I used to run Betas and alpha software, custom roms, etc. But Android has matured so much and Google basically incorporated all the hacks and added features developers made on custom roms into mainline Android that I rarely if every root or modify anything. Security these days is more important. However in limited use cases where you use root to accomplish a task then unroot once done is something I still do.

AT least Pixel devices are about the easiest to root, run beta, and a lot more.
