Mobile OSs Android Kitkat

I recently got a Samsung S5 as a work phone and have a personal iPhone.

Just wondering if the pinch zoom feature for text is as slow in other mobiles as it is on the S5? IOS has always been really smooth but KitKat seems to take a noticeable amount of time to re-render the text.

Any improvements on Lollipop on the S5?

Must be an S5 issue because I haven't experienced that on my Moto X.
