1. Checked Activity Monitor. CPU Utilization is minimal (under 15%)
2. Reset SMC Multiple Times....
3. Reset PRAM
4. Ran ONYX To Cleare Cache Etc.


So here is my story........
Using machine with fairly intensive apps it makes the fans speed up which is normal behavior. However once the machine has cooled down. (42c) on the cpu. the Fans are still maximum speed. Now if I let the machine run for hours the fans still never come down. Restart and the fans go right back to 6000. Reset the SMC and it's perfect again for only a little while.....

hey glad I could hep ya!!

I did this a year ago & the fan only kicks in at full speed when doing an fsck and the such. Always seemed strange though that it isn't the default....:eek:
