Any reason to have the dock AND the cover?

I love the official cover, but it seems to render a dock useless. You can fit it in the dock with the cover on and the cover fits so snug (which is good) that the one time I took it off I thought there was a good chance that I might rip it somehow. I guess I can just leave it in "lap" mode and plug it in or put it standing up if I want to use a keyboard with it.

Well, for one thing I would imagine it would look a lot more elegant charging on the dock when it's in that photo slideshow mode.

Oh, I agree, but the cover is a bitch to get off, so it's not worth it IMO.
