So I'm past the point of listening to what's all wrong about this device. For me it's simple: my atom based netbook sucks for multimedia and videos. The iPad looks to handle them very well based on the videos.

So I'm in the moment they let us order. Does anyone have a guess or rumor as to when they will allow us to preorder these things?

This is what I want to know, too.

Is there a pro-order pattern or history that anyone knows of to guage when we might see this?

This is just a wild guess but I reckon by the start of March for pre-order of the WiFi versions.

I don't think they can sell the iPad until it gets final FCC approval.

This device has not yet been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.

So my answer would be when they get approval.

Interesting. Well, hopefully that comes soon so I can go ahead and preorder it and have peace of mind.
