Hi there,

Do you know any sound enhancer for the iPad Air? I mean, those cheap little pieces of plastic that increase considerably the volume of your iPad.

I used a SoundJaw for my previous iPad 3rd gen, and it worked great. Now I kind of miss that sound quality in my iPad Air.

So far this is the only thing that I've found, but still I'm not totally convinced: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/821705482/ipad-air-and-ipad-mini-stereo-speaker-audio-enhanc

How about this:
Pivot - Portable Speaker and Tablet / Smartphone Stand - for Any Bluetooth v2.1 Enabled Device

Aerb® X Armor Series Shock Proof Case W Audio Amplifier Design for iPad 2 3 4 or iPad Mini / iPad Mini 2 or New iPad Air / iPad 5 (iPad Air / iPad 5, Grey)

I really appreciate your help, but what I'm looking for is more like a simple plastic attachment, easy to put in, easy to take out—just like the SoundJaw or the Kickstarter thing posted before.

I remember a thread like this and it was a perfect case that extends out but I cannot find it.

But consider that I'm trying to avoid cases and anything that adds weigh and thickness to the iPad.

I think I found what you are looking for:
AudioAmp180, 3-Pack (Black, White, Red), Tablet Audio Amplifier and Sound Enhancer for iPad (2,3,4), Nexus7, Kindle Fire HD, and Apple Smart Case, Smart Cover and Other Slim-Line Cases
http://amzn.com/B00CEQ5BZM

But it doesn't look like it'll work with the iPad Air's stereo speakers.

The only thing I have found is using two SoundJaw Unlimiteds (https://www.tinylightbulbs.com/products/soundjaw-unlimited-black), but that also comes out to $20.

From the product description:
SoundJaw Unlimited works with the 1st - 4th generation iPads, and most other tablets. Can be used with 5th generation iPad* and iPad minis. Optional sticky dot included to ensure a secure fit regardless of device.

*Due to the presence of two speakers, better results are achieved with two SoundJaw Unlimiteds.

I have to ask, what's wrong with using a good pair of headphones or Bluetooth speakers? That Kickstarter project might be the closest thing you'll get otherwise.

Just get a speaker with bluetooth. I love my JBL Flip. Its very portable. And the sound is great for a small speaker.

Stereoamp180

I found the kickstarter product you refer to at audioamp180.com, and it is called Stereoamp180. It is also sold on amazon. I bought one and used it on an ipad air with and without the apple smart case, and it fits and works really well. It is surprising how much louder it is and better when watching youtube videos.
