Hi, hope all are well!

Is there any possible way to change a monitor's BPC setting? For some reason this monitor is defaulting to 10bpc, however it's causing flickering. It happens in Windows too. Once I set it to 8bpc it worked fine. I need to set it to 8bpc in macOS too. How can this be done? Some kind of Custom EDID maybe?

Thanks in advance!

If I remember correct, SwitchResX gives the options to choose between millions of colors (8bpc) and billions (10bpc).

That usually only changes the framebuffer pixel format, not the output pixel format.

macOS doesn't tell the user what output pixel format and resolution it's using for a display. It only reports the framebuffer pixel format and resolution.
On Intel Macs with AMD GPUs, the AGDCDiagnose command will show the output pixel format and resolution.
