I took my 6 for its first swim last week in a pool. Put it in swim-mode, worked well for a while but after about 20 laps it started rebooting constantly. Then, when I got out it was dead. Reset didn't work... nothing.

It's under warranty still so has gone off to Apple.

Anyone else experience this? I'm worried now that water will mess them up - a reason why I brought it in the first place.

Luckily I never had any issue with any of my Apple Watches while swimming (S4, S5, S6)

I haven't tried it yet but I expect it to be water resistant for at least the time it's covered under warranty. I purchased Applecare+ just incase something fails prematurely. Water resistance isn't a permanent condition so I get my mechanical watches pressure tested every 2-3 years just to make sure they don't leak.
