I switched from iPhone & iPad to Android in Dec 2022. My main reason for wanting to switch was the much larger range of device options available in Android land. Had been wanting to switch for a while but the inferior device support durations on Android had kept me on iOS. However, by 2022 two or three Android OEMs had pledged to provide 5 years of security updates, which was good enough for me to switch over. I bought a Pixel phone and a Samsung Galaxy tablet. More than a year on and I'm still happy with the switch and have no desire to move back to iOS.
P.S. I'm a Windows PC user, so tight integration between iOS and MacOS isn't relevant to me.
