I just installed High Sierra on a new clean partition, decided not to update to APFS as was not sure what it might do to my other Sierra partition.

All installed fine.

Anyone installed in a partition and updated to APFS?

Yes, installed High Sierra with APFS by upgrading El Capitan in a separate partition, leaving Sierra in a HFS+ partition.

All working fine so far.

Good to know, think I am going to wait a little bit more as initial wave of guinea pigs find the serious bugs. Fear bricking my Mac, especially with the new File System.

I have installed High Sierra on a 32gig USB formatted in apfs and it runs very fast, but it doesn't have a recovery on the startup screen.
Is this normal?
