During the beta period of iPhone software 2.0, Apple insisted downloaded applications were saved in the OS partition, which stood at 300MB.

Does anyone know if 2.0 GM (Build 5A345) finally rectifies this?

Applications installed from the App Store, would then be actually installed within the 14.84GB or 7.6GB media partition.

This would mean that the limit of applications installed is only limited by the amount of storage your device has, instead of having a 300MB ceiling.

Thanks,
