Apple ID App Store has no Passkey option to Sign in

I want to use Passkeys as much as possible especially for my Apple ID account.

When I go the App Store on my iPhone to sign in, there is no option to select a passkey option.

However, when I want to sign in to my Apple ID account on the website version using a browser, I do have the option to select to use a passkey. See images below.

When you have a passkey set up, the phone will use Face ID to log you in. What you described is normal.

I want to use the App Store but I don’t see an option to setup and use passkey.

I don’t even have a Passkey setup yet for my Apple ID.

The App Store doesn’t have any options to setup a Passkey.

That’s my point.

If I use the browser to sign in to my Apple ID, I can see the setup a Passkey option but not on the App Store from my phone.
