I have an app called Radio Garden on my iPad that plays audio from internet stations around the world. It's Airplay compatible, but refuses to Airplay audio from iPad to my Apple TV devices. The Airplay icon on the iPad shows playing, but no sound. It does work occasionally, but very infrequently. Other similar apps such as Radio.Net no problem at all.
