Fascinating. Not quite sure what the logic is here, but I think it's fair to say you should just ignore anything you see on social media that begins with "Apparently".

Well I always connect my eGPU and whatever is charging on the right side ever since people been discussing thermals on the forum.

For years I have connected a series of different MacBook Pro's from the left side just because of where the outlet is, and I have never had any unusual fan performance issues, or heat issues.
