General AppDev algorithm question(s)

Hi,

I'm trying to gauge the feasibility of an algorithm I have in mind, for an application, in order to decide whether or not to pursue development.

If anyone has knowledge/experience using algorithms, specifically with matching pairs of inputs based on a series of unique filters, or any sort of matching, or any experience with algorithm based processes in app development.
