I happened to be in a bar on Saturday night and found that my ApplePay had been run in a Thai restaurant several doors down from the bar. (The charge didn’t go through.) The thief/card skimmer also tried to put through an online transaction but I contacted Apple and stopped it.

I don’t have a physical Apple card, don’t ever use my Apple Card online, and my phone wasn’t even on or connected to Wi-Fi: my usual number was switched off because I was traveling/don’t have roaming and the phone was on airplane mode. How did they manage to get my card details?

Here's a picture of the transactions! The 3 that didn't go through (from "No Thai on" and "Katapult") are the fraudulent ones.
