Not anymore. The new strains, like the Delta are getting to the younger population. Here in Florida a lot of younger people are getting it. Even if they don’t die, the side effects are remaining for longer than expected.

Some people may say that 335 casualties may not seem like a lot, but put them all together and it is a lot of children. And some will only take it seriously if it‘s a friend or relative.
You're right, lots we don't know, but when making national policy they are still outliers. Everyone is a trajedy, especially if you knew them, but of those 400 or so cases 95% had prior health issues. It doesn't make it any less tragic, so please don't take it as I'm just saying those lives don't matter, but statically speaking, healthy kids really still don't need to fear this.

True, but a lot of them are not healthy, usually overweight, some don’t know they have a medical condition.
And all it takes is for them to get COVID-19 to trigger a tragedy.
It’s also true that COVID-19 by itself in most cases doesn’t kill, but it does causes the death of people who otherwise should not be dying.

Has anyone done the research to see, what’s different in the sequence of the Delta variant, compared to the Alpha?

Maybe, just maybe, they might have done, what with it being described as a delta variant, and having a different name from the alpha or wild-type varients... You know... what do you think the gene sequencing labs have been doing all this time? Office chair racing?
