WoW Apple Mac pro gets 30 sec's of time, the watch and new iphone get most of it and do nothing for me. waist of time watching that.

It was widely known this wouldn't be a Mac event, I don't know why you expected otherwise

What did you expect? The September event is almost always iPhone and Watch centered. However the A17 has hardware accelerated ray tracing. Which means the M3 generation of chips will have it as well.

Just some napkin math with blender open data (v 3.6.0): M2 Ultra scores 3447.15; naively extrapolating 20% GPU compute improvement with 4x raytracing speed results in a score of ~16546.32. RTX 4090 scores 13100.33. Even without any exciting M3 surprises, that's looking pretty good.
