Apple ID password often doesn't work

I regularly have problems using my Apple ID password. Even when I'm sure I'm putting in the right password (I use 1password), it often doesn't let me in and I'm forced to reset my password. This has happened to me for years now with the Apple ID.

Any clues as to why? Has anyone else had this experience?

Do you have multiple Apple devices all logged into the same Apple account?

I had this issue to find that the old devices where not updating the password. Next time it happens, try putting in the old password.
You can do this with one password in the previously used password section.
