iPod touch Apple iPod touch/Freeform oddity

So I heard about Freeform today and checked it out here. Down at the bottom right it shows this: " iPod touch Requires iOS 16.2 or later."

But iOS 16 is not coming to iPod touch. So?????

Looks like it's the same for many apps in the App Store. Probably just a holdover from previous versions that were supported on the iPod touch, pre-iOS 16.

Can confirm that it's a placeholder. It says that for pretty much all apps. I do think apple should remove that though

Maybe a bit late, but it has been removed by Apple and the page now only shows the requirements for iPhone and iPad
