Price Advice Apple Memory Module MC016G/A (8GB 1.066MHz DDR3 RAM) sealed

Hey guys,

I would like to sell my sealed "Apple Memory Module" kit, which I got a few months ago. However, I have no clue how much I can ask for it.
I know that this is 8GB 1.066 MHz DDR3 RAM. Obviously it is directly from Apple and because it is still sealed, I think it is quite rare. The ones I find are (without pictures) on eBay one kit for €590 (~$750) and on amazon.de for €375 (~$475). I know that older RAM gets more expensive over time and I also know that there are kits from other manufacturers, but I think this is more a collectible item than just a replacement part... Do you have any idea where to sell and for which price?
I am not looking to sell it here on Macrumors, I only would love to hear your opinion on this item!

This isn't a collectors item (yet.)

It's a perfectly standard DDR3 memory stick - something that is readily available anywhere. It's large one, which makes it worth a lot. It won't be valuable as a collectors item for a *VERY* long time. It will be valuable as a high-capacity memory stick for another year or so, then it will become cheap once DDR4 has taken over.

Then in a couple more years, it will become expensive again, as people with DDR3 systems look to upgrade.

Then it will drop again as DDR3 systems move from "older" to "obsolete".

Then, finally, it will gain value as a collectible.

But even then, as a collectible, memory sticks aren't worth a lot. 16 MB 64-pin SIMMs are exceedingly rare now. Yet they don't sell for anywhere near what they sold for new. Buying one of them as a "collectors item" to sell for a profit later would have been completely foolish.

If your primary purpose is to get money for it, sell it now. Memory is a "commodity item," the fact that it is in an Apple package doesn't increase its value THAT much (since inside, it's just a stock memory module made by one of the major companies. It just has an extra sticker with an Apple logo.)
