I use Apple News daily so I was surprised after my iOS 11.1 install, it was missing!

I checked everywhere but had no luck finding the app, so I thought the update may have uninstalled it. In the app store, it showed it was installed, but upon tapping "Open", nothing happened!

I tried to uninstall the app in settings and managed to remove it leaving an odd "trace" element (String of numbers), and then returned to the App Store to reinstall it.

The app installed and once again I tried to run it and.....nada.

Has anyone else got this issue, and how do I fix it?! I really rather not reinstall my phone again!

It's driving me bonkers. I just spent almost an hour with Apple Support and they ended up getting me to reset my settings. Apart from not fixing the problem, it just gave me a headache restoring all my settings and features on my apps.

You Sir, are a genius!

I remember right after upgrading to iOS 11.1, I changed my region to Spain (where I live), so that I could have the correct unit of measure on my BMW Connected app. It shows in miles when the region is United Kingdom, so I changed this to Spain. I really wouldn't have connected those two together!

I owe you one! Thanks!

Siri (the Rosetta stone for imbeciles) offers me a wikipedia reference to the phrase "news".
Ridiculous how these amateurs make a server-based system suck
