Apple News not syncing

I've started to use the new Apple News app on Mojave and found that it isn't syncing topics from iOS. I've looked at my iCloud settings and it should sync Apple News.

Any ideas on how to fix this or what else to check?

ya try opening the news app on IOS or save one from iOS
