When updating my N26 banking App, I see that N26 is now operating Apple Pay in France with a promise to bring "exciting news" to "a couple more of our favourite European Countries."

N26 is in: Germany, Austria, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxemburg, Slovenia, Estonia, Greece, Slovakia

It is a German Bank based in Berlin & regulated by the Bundesbank so does that mean we are likely to see Apple Pay coming to Germany soon?

According to N26 support on Twitter, they have been waiting and still wait for Apple to activate it in Germany. The holdup is, according to N26, only because of Apple.
N26 will launch in Italy and Spain later this year too by the way. (And I think they just launched in Finland, too?)
