Apple Store e-gift card says the card is not activated when trying to add in Wallet via the e-mail

Hi everyone, sorry if tis in the wrong section but I didn't know where to post this issue. I bought an iPad pro on the Apple black friday event to receive the gift card and I just received the e mail to day with the gift card but when I try to add in to my Wallet by clicking the link safari open and it said this card is not activated. Is it because I didn't receive my iPad yet? And what I should do if the problem persist ?

I'm guessing the card won't be activated for some period of time to discourage people from returning merchandise for a full refund after the gift card has been spent. Go back and read the fine print.
