I am surprised at how many iphone sized apps they have on the iPads at the Apple Store.. they need more iPad optimized apps to show it off..

iPhone sized NYT, weather, IMDB, and many of the games, and others. With so many iPad optimized apps, I wonder why they do this?

I love the iPad, but iPhone resolution apps will be as few as possible on my iPad when I get my iPad 3G... the doubling is pretty bad, but of course it is.

Agreed, if I had went there to decide if I wanted one I would have passed. Lucky for them I already knew I wanted one.

Google maps didn't work, no preloaded movies to demo, many iPhone apps that were just doubled. Not a good showing at all.

I noticed this too. It could be that the imaging DVDs used to setup the iPads were burned before the newer iPad specific apps were finished.
