Apple TV Apple TV 2 Jailbreak question.

I am about to get a ATV2 off a friend who has not updated the iOS since 4.something. Should I update to the latest iOS before I jailbreak, save my blobs then update or not update at all?

Also I am in the UK and the ATV2 is from the US, with a US plug, will it work ok over in the UK? Is there any issues that i might need to be aware of?

Hey,

Do not update to the latest iOS using iTunes - it is NOT jailbroken.

Instead, get the 5.0.2 (5.1.1) firmware from here and jailbreak with SeasonPass. Apple is still signing this firmware so you can still restore without any special tricks.

I'm also in the UK and have 2 US AppleTV's, both work flawlessly.
