Now on TVOS 16.5, I’ve lost two previously-available apps: Food Network, and America’s Test Kitchen. Incredible to me, now YouTube is more useful. Not especially happy.

Apple TV 4K losing functionality

You are lucky that you only lost 2.
Between updates breaking them, developers abandoning them, and developers pulling the apps in the tvOS App Store, I have lost probably 50+ apps over the years.
I love the Apple TV, but due to some bad decisions by Apple from the launch of tvOS, the platform is on life support.
I keep hoping that Apple will turn it around, but every step forward is then two steps back, it seems.
