I've never owned an Apple TV, looking to buy my first (4K 128GB 3rd Gen).
I'm curious, how/does it work with 1440p monitors? Of course most of the time I will have it hooked up to my 4K TV, however if possible sometimes I'd like to move it to my desk setup where I have my monitor(s).
Is it just a case of 4K downscaled to 1440 or would it only be restricted to 1080p via HDMI? My monitor supports up to HDMI 2.1 but no eARC or HDMI ARC (I'm pretty sure). I'd be using my AirPods Max for audio so that would not be a concern.
