One of the main reasons why I use Apple TV 4K is because I don’t have to look for the remote, I always have my phone on me and it’s so quick to pull down the remote app.
Lately (I think since iOS 17 but could be even earlier), it’s super erratic. I have 4 ATV 4k around the house, and when I first open the remote app it would ask which one to connect to, connect to the one I selected and all is good… for a couple of seconds.
It will then keep dropping out and reverting to the screen asking which unit to connect to, rinse and repeat. This happens without my leaving the app, while actually using the remote (searching through shows etc)
This defeats the whole purpose and at that point it’s easier to look for a physical remote.
Why does this happen and how do I fix it?
