Apple Universal Dock - Firmware?

I got a new Apple Universal Dock, and when you go to the About menu on the iPod Touch, it tells you this.

Apple Universal Dock 1.0.1

I would post a screenshot, but I haven't Jailbreaked my iPod, and dont want to until there is a GUI, don't feel comfortable playing with terminal...

Could this mean that we could get updates for the Dock, to let it do more stuff?
